During the afternoon sessions, scheduled each month, participants will be presented issues through the use of prominent individuals from the public and private sectors, have in-depth dialogue with local leaders to increase their breadth of knowledge about a particular issue and community, develop a network of contacts and resources, and receive an overview of the rich and colorful events and people in the Tuscarawas County's various communities.
Arts and Culture: A review of what Tuscarawas County has to offer in Arts and Culture. It will introduce the participants to see the economic vaule that art has on Tuscarawas County.
Economic Development: A review of our economic base will provide insight into the business profile of Tuscarawas County. Participants will review the role of business, industry, and employment in the Tuscarawas Valley.
Education: This session will focus on education from preschool though college graduation and beyond. Educational resources available and the importance of a strong educational base will be discussed and explored.
Environment: This issue will focus on educating participants on environmental and recycling issues that are within Tuscarawas County. Participants will address problems, concerns and strengths on this issue.
Personal Heath and Wellness: Participants will identify and recognize areas of need and focus on health care and social service facilities and programs. This program will examine current human needs and safety issues of Tuscarawas County.
Poverty: This session will show the participants what affects that poverty has on Tuscarawas County.
Substance Abuse and Addiction: This issue will address the problems on substance abuse and how Tuscarawas County is dealing with this issue.
Tourism/Transportation: This session is designed to give participants an opportunity to understand and explore tourism and transportation issues in the Tuscarawas County.
Utilizing Marketing and Media: Members will explore media outlets in Tuscarawas County, processes, and more specifically how to operate in various facets of media relations.
